Never called Lsu smart for anything. But y’all made the right decision with Jay, Mike is basically Biden has no clue what’s going on anymore, can’t recruit or build a good coaching staff. For goodness sake Drew is on the staff. Who was fricking rotten.

Mike didn’t win us that title. The leadership from Tim Elko, Dylan Deluccia, Jacob Gonzales, kevin Graham, Justin Bench, won us that title. Do you not remember what our record was before we got in the tournament.

He needs to make the CWS. Just making the Supers is further squandering momentum. Not counting the COVID year, this is his 24th year at Ole Miss, and he's made the CWS twice and the Supers five other times. Advancing past Regionals 30% of the time doesn't cut it in this conference and with a fan base as dedicated as OM's. He's missed the tournament completely the two years after the miracle NC year.
He got his Cinderella story. Make the CWS for the third time in nearly a quarter of a century, or kick rocks. Ole Miss could hire someone else and instantly elevate their program to something more consistent.

They have been thankful. He missed the postseason entirely in '23 and '24 and he's still there. I think they were the last team in during '22, too, that's how close he was to missing it a third time in a row. And he only made the CWS one time in 20 years prior to winning the NC. They've been absurdly loyal to this guy.
He and Lemonis are straight up frauds who tripped up the stairs.

He was blessed with a plethora of talent and not even he could screw it up (well except for the 2 games that were 10 run rule losses in the SEC tourney to almost fall out of the national seeds). That's when I really started disliking him and it hasn't gotten any better. He's a lazy slob and can't hire a hitting coach that could see a spinning ball in slow motion. Third base coach that loses more base runners than anyone I can remember. Unfortunately, with this AD he probably gets a lifetime contract.
