The drive up to Northwest Arkansas from East Texas (talk about an improvement in scenic beauty) with my Dad. I pray that we never have significant money problems and that we can carry on that tradition 'til he can no longer make it.

Let's just say it's in late October because that's when the real fall weather kicks in in Alabama...

You talk about the next game the entire week with a buddy... discussing how the match-ups are gonna play out here and there on the field. After a good full week of talking about HOW the good guys in crimson are gonna win, it's finally gameday now. You wake up and step outside, CRISP cool fall air all around... walk all around Bama's famous strip and beautiful campus and let the BBQ smoke smack you in the face until you can no longer think about anything.... at this point, Bama football seems a distant second to having a rib in one hand and a beer in the other. (of course, that's only because it doesn't take long and you know you're gonna go to the game anyway). Chomp those suckers down and then begin to -really- appreciate the scenery. Fall colors ALL around you... (including the girls' attire.) Now it's game time... as you make your way to BRYANT DENNY stadium, you're accompanied by a freaking humbling sea of crimson and white wearing fans and you find your seat. The countdown clock is going, the pre-game show is on the screen and you hear the Bear's thundering voice energize the crowd in ways that only God could quantify.... the countdown clock hits 0:00, and you see the CRIMSON TIDE of Alabama BURST through that home-team tunnel and the crowd roars INSANELY loud. Cue the fight song, cue line up on side-lines... and cue the first

Love most of the things listed here. One thing I enjoy I haven't seen listed here is watching a close game with my Dad, bitching about the playing or coaching, and then explaining to my mother afterwards that we weren't really worried about losing.

good call. there's nothing like staying home for a game, cooking rotel/cheese dip, eating brats and getting drunk NEXT to a bathroom... and having AC the whole time. and the whole bitching as loud as you want part... GENIUS. lol. i totally feel this one.
