Tiger Stadium is such a weird, night & day atmosphere depending on time/opponent.

If you get an 'ok' opponent in the house like Mississippi State, or a down Florida squad, Tiger Stadium is relatively unassuming, and often times, has a few patches of empty seats. It by no means is lame during these times as compared to other stadiums, but this "Tiger Stadium is always a gauntlet" attitude is just, false.

However, and I do mean a big "however," put the Tigers under the lights against a rival or a highly ranked opponent and nothing touches it in college football. Absolutely nothing. There are very few moments that resonate in my mind as clear as 2011, the moment Alabama got back on offense late in the 4th quarter right after the Tigers took the lead. Once AJ got under center, it was so loud my vision started to blur. I blinked a few times to try and regain my vision, but to no avail. It was one of the most surreal things I have ever been a part of.

The only other times I can say crowds get as loud as TS are Dome stadiums during the playoffs, or night rivalry games. The Super Dome/Ga Dome during a Falcons-Saints night game is just a hurricane of sound.

I assume you mean 2012. Yeah, I'm with you on that analysis. Those big games though, they make chills go down your spine. It gets crazy in there.

What you're talking about is the difference between Tiger Stadium and Death Valley. One is Clark Kent and the other is Superman.

I thought we were playing you guys at aTm on Thanksgiving. I'll have to check the schedule again and see where this intimidating place is that we're playing. Sounds exciting...
