If you all don't like how much we are bitching about the tree's now, you have no clue what it will be like when they actually have to take them down.

I guess I don't understand what this money's going to. Updyke's the one who is gonna end up paying for the new trees. He'll have to pay in full, probably more. What's this going to?

I doubt Updyke has the money to pay for any trees.

I am so keeping this one for myself:

Chins up, Aubs...the time wasted whining could be a millimeter of new live oak growth.

To me, that's equally as disturbing as the Auburn fans who plan to attend the "vigil" tomorrow night.

It's not just the price of the trees but what all it would take to remove the old ones and transplant new ones.

First off I heard this stuff can stay in the soil for anywhere between 3 and 7 years and could spread to neighboring trees and landscaping. The would have to remove all the soil, plus sidewalks, roads, the brick arches. Pretty much excavate the whole area, then the cost of a new tree and to put everything back together. Cost would probably be a fortune, knowing government construction cost.

Fact is a lot of this will probably be donated, (labor, equipment, treez if they don't use the saplings) but they will attach a figure for so Harvey gets a good old updyking.

Good gesture on bama fans part but should be put towards the iron bowl food charity.
