The meeting is "decide whether to terminate Louisiana State University ('LSU') as an SEC member institution". This doesn't have to mean an actual vote must be called, correct? It could just be more discussions on what LSU "did" and what steps could occur next. Or is this really a doomsday scenario?

I don't think anyone (aside from angry fans) really wants that to happen.

This is where I'm at. Let's cut to the chase and hold the vote. Let the chips fall where they may.

Unclear. Likely, its been left intentionally vague to give LSU the chance to drop to their knees and suck dicks.

Correct. Nobody wants to actually vote a school out. This, like many things, is being played publicly to create a narrative.

My question is: “Who’s next?”

How many different ways can people write the same shite. Nothing in that article is new information.

As a general matter, I have no problem with the conference issuing penalties for violation of its rules. But for the conference to immediately jump to expulsion, over this issue especially, is absolutely fricking absurd. It’s as childish as anything you can point to LSU as having done here. There’s a leadership vacuum in the conference right now.

Well they love singing about that, so it makes sense.

I suspect there's a lot of information behind the scenes we don't know about. Neither side is acting rationally going by what is known publicly.
