Wes Johnson will say he doesn’t believe in closers but he absolutely has been using Zach Harris as one as of late.

I think it was moreso avoiding matching up Wood against Doyle in an attempt at getting an advantage in a possible rubber match.

Almost a disaster for UK as their CF and RF nearly collide on the final out of the inning that most assuredly would have scored 2 runs but CF holds on. 7-5 UK going into the 8th.

Harris has been revelation, as has Quinn. Absolutely saved the game for us tonight after Goldstein pissed his pants to start the game. He and Kolten are in a bad head space right now but at least some guys are stepping up.

Hate it for Charlie but the only way he should pitch again this year is if we need someone to eat innings. He’s mediocre about 20% of the time and bad the other 80%
At least with Kolten it feels like you have around a 50/50 shot of getting a good outing from him. I think we will need him if we want to make a run. Despite his struggles, I still think he’s the most likely of anyone on staff to put forth a 7/8 inning dominant performance that are so big in postseason play.
