He actually is pretty good IMO. I do like his breakdown on film that he does on Gameday. I'm not sure why McShay is involved though.

He's just good, not great. No analyst or announcers are great though IMO.

I sort of enjoyed that segment on the screens, I wish he would have answered Todd McShay's question on why the "2" receiver took the "Now" screen rather than some other combination of the "1" or "3" receiver being the receiver in that situation.

agree.
But he makes my skin crawl with his fakeness. JMO
Anyone notice the picture of Woody Hayes displayed on camera during Urbie's breakdown? HMMMMMMMM
Know what that means

I like him because he coached and won 2 BCS titles and knows the game how it is played today not 30 years ago like the "coach experts" they have already. I don't like McShay there cause he doesn't know shite.

No shite. I was waiting for his explanation. I hated him while he was coaching, but he does know what he is talking about.

He did answer it...he said because the #2 receiver was the uncovered receiver in the formation allowing the 1 and 3 receivers to block on the guys covering them.

He brings a lot in terms of knowlege but he has very little personality and isnt very likeable. I like his segments because he provides insight you dont get very often but I dont think he will be a commentator long.

I question at times whether he watches actual games anymore. That talk this morning about getting on the outside of LSU's defense was completely out of touch.

Yes he did say that, but from a pre snap read, how does the quarterback make that decision. I think if he went into more detail talking about how a bubble screen to the "1" would or would not have worked would have been a better answer than saying there covered. Its a screen pass with two defenders to the side, there are more options and analyses that could have been provided(and not like it would take a whole segment either). That was my only complaint.

He's OK as an analyst . . . but better as an analyst than as a coach. He couldn't win without Ron Zook's recruits so he quit coaching and became an analyst.

Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez, Brandon Spikes, Carlos Dunlap, and Joe Haden beg to differ.
