would never recruit a high school QB. Why not go the Oklahoma route and have a disgruntled QB from another university just transfer in every year. Feel like LSU is a far easier sell than Oklahoma. “Hey. Unhappy you aren’t playing? Come be our #1 within the air air rade offense with a killer D.” Should be an easy sell. Side note. I hate LSU, but this NC team was the best team since the 2001 Hurricanes...

Edit: I already downvoted myself. Don’t worry.

LSU has been hampered by a few things. 1) LA while producing lots of elite SEC type players at WR, RB, CB, S year end and year out, DT, OL, TE, LB goes in cycles of maybe every 2 or 3 years, but LA does not produce elite QBs. 2) Miles era of running 21 and 22 personnel and hammering the running game and requiring QB to play under Center and run 70's-90's NFL style Play action passing game was not an offense that was attractive to HS prospects out of LA to come play QB at LSU.

Coach O going to modern Offense with more 4/5 WR set concepts and Joe winning the Heisman and LSU winning the NC will hopefully change that and allow LSU to recruit talented Out of state QB prospects.

What makes you think you know Jack shite about our next quarterback. We have followed him for 3 years I think we know what we have if we run an offense anywhere near what we had last year the SEC is fricked.

Fact

If you get a rep of only going after transfers than a top tier QB recruit will never take you serious

Myles was an excellent high school quarterback and was recruited heavily when he came out. He has sat 3 years, two of which behind the greatest quarterback in college football history. He put on 40 pounds and has learned the ins and outs of what it takes to play the position.
I would have felt that LSU would have been in a position to repeat winning the SEC if Brady had remained. I doubt that now but LSU will still end the year a top 10 team with Myles coming back his Sr season ready to make another run at a championship.

He will likely throw for 3000 yards and have 30 touchdowns but won’t be a 60 touchdowns and 5800 yard passer but no one else has ever been ether.

I don’t wanna think to far ahead but I don’t see any reason Myles can’t get 4000 and 35

That would be fricking fabulous if he threw for four grand. I would be ecstatic with that at 35 touchdowns. Some of the Heisman quarterbacks this century haven’t had 4K -35 touchdowns for the season. I hope you’re right because that means we are back in the sec championship game if so.

I think he’ll throw around 3k, if OBJ and Landry could make Mettenburger a 3k yard passer than Chase and Marshall can do it for Brennan.

What will also help Brennon is the freshman running backs will have a year behind them and they will know nothing but success. They will only know the work ethic, chemistry and swag it takes to be a national champion. They already have a ring. I guess when coach O told them to come to LSU for championships, they sure as hell believe it now.

They will be the backbone of one hell of a running attack. A great rushing game helps a new quarterback more than anything could. We also have a titanic monster coming in as a tight end. He will be a nightmare to defend and a reliable safety valve.

Chase and the rest of the receivers will be able to mold Brennon and help him understand the offense. They will be able to help him play the position and they will have the memories of Joe and how he did things so it can be passed on the Myles.

It all revolves around the offensive line. We lost the world when we lost Cush. He was the heart and soul of the best line in America. If the offensive line can protect and get some real push in the running game, we will be another offensive monster. Everything counts on it. If the O line can play at a championship level, we will be hard to beat.

That’s what’s so amazing about Joes season last year and we won’t see it again.

4000 and 35 would have been leading in the LSU History books before last season so yeah I’d take it.

I really think we will be happy with Myles

oklahoma's best selling point is the qb doesn't have to play against real defenses

Oklahoma's best selling point is that Lincoln Riley is an ace developer of QBs and has done it with different types of QBs that have gone on to the CFP and have won the Heisman and been the #1 overall NFL Draft Pick, or a combination of all those

The above is a much QB Resume than Coach O catching lightning in a bottle for 1 season with 1 Asst and 1 transfer QB

Elite HS QB Recruits don't have Coach O on their must-visit list like they do for other College Programs

Several NFL QBs have said that Brennan has NFL arm talent.

Now that he is well over 200 pounds he will be durable enough.

All you have to do is watch the 4th quarter of the Oklahoma game to see the arm strength.
