If there was ever a conspiracy against UGA, then the INT Milliner almost had in the last minute of the 2012 SECCG would not have been overruled.

Quality melt.
I'm surprised he didn't bemoan Quinton Dial and the QB hit. Just so everyone knows how petty UGA is; UGA tried to get a senior banned from his last game, the national championship, for the behavior of the referee.
If Bama beats UGA in Atlanta again I'll be disappointed if they play the conference office like that again. What a terrible thing to do.

We trade those two calls, and the score is somewhat more indicative of the game
i love the complaining about the grounding call moving UGA back to the 10, when that is where the ball would have been anyway, but our WR got called for blocking below the waist when he was just trying to make a play on the UGA player returning the INT.
ETA: also on the pick, the UGA DB ran right thru the SC reciever. Should have been PI

Blame it on the rain...

The vendetta against Richt (an ACC guy) originated with the call to send the whole team on the field against the gators. Think back to the absurd celebration call against A. J. Green that cost us a game against LSU. Think back to the four game suspension against A. J. Green. Think back to the biased officiating Saturday in favor of USC.....Before long the Dawgs will be so good that they will defeat the cheating SEC.

Now that is a quality melt, coherent enough you can follow it, but still melty enough to feel the pain.
thats right! you can tell he is letting the hurt flow right through him.

I don't understand this complaint at all. Personally I think the onus is on Mason to throw it out of the back of the endzone and I think the SEC ruling was perfectly understandable (deflection or not).
The only penalty from that game that I have an issue with is the holding on Gurley's long TD run. Everything else was miniscule relative to the ammo we unloaded into our own feet.

He was making an obvious play on the ball, so no.

I agree with everything you said except for the PI. From the rules:
Once a forward pass is in the air it is a loose ball and thus any eligible receiver – all defensive players are eligible receivers – may try to catch it. When a defensive player catches a forward pass it is an interception and his team gains possession of the ball. Some actions that are defined as pass interference may be overlooked if the defender is attempting to catch or bat the ball rather than focusing on the receiver.

I didn't have a problem with Swann's pick, personally. He was playing the ball.
The Roland "blocking" call, the Adams "blocking below the waist" call, and the Gurley unsportsmanlike calls were the ones I had particular issues with.
As far as the Gurley holding call, I can see why it was called, and I would also be furious if it had been called against USC. Danielson saw it when it happened, so it wasn't completely phantom.

True. I agree with that. The only gripe UGA should have is about the holding call. I will give you that.Other than that, I am tired of hearing the constant complaining about every little thing. I have 3 or 4 questions about calls that went against SCar, as I do every game.
To say the if Gurley doesnt get that run called back for holding, UGA wins is stupid though. There is no way to know how the game would have played out from that point. You can't count the touchdown and keep everything else the same.

I don't think anyone in their right mind can say that would have won the game. Maybe could have changed some things, but, you're right, we don't know.
I think we can all agree that is was a poorly officiated game all around and it's a shame given the magnitude of the game.

I only want the Gurley call back because that was 54 yards and a TD he rightfully deserves for his Heisman campaign
Posted on 9/18/14 at 9:44 am to tylerdurden24
Haha. It would have made for a nice stat sheet.

Georgia fans always have to find some excuse for losing. It was injuries last year and this year the blame goes to the referees

I want the crazy UGA poster from the first page to come back. He seemed like good fun
