The defense was the best ever in college football.

Since when did the best defense ever surrender 100+ rushing yards just like they did in 3 of the previous 4 years?

Please tell us why you think that.

I'm not talking about players who went on to do great things in the NFL. 2001 UM obviously had those. I'm talking about how they played together as a college football defense. How they played in college. Yards and points given up, strength of schedule.

Not flaming. Just curious as to your reasoning considering that you have no biases as you say.

The BCS title game IS a two team playoff. The best two teams. It's not hard to understand, really. The regular season is not a playoff, despite what you would like to believe. If it were, LSU in 2007 never plays for the title with 2 losses late in the season.

Know what the difference is between 2-loss LSU 07 and 1 -loss 11 Bama after regular season was over? The answer of course is one was SEC Champion and the other finished third in their conference. Yea I know it is kind of surprising when someone finds out which team was in what position for the first time.

Didn't have anything to do with Bama's defense. in 8+ quarters the team that Bama lost to scored 3 field goals. That game was lost because the offense and special teams didn't put points on the board.

I'm not talking about best team ever.

Best defense ever.

Y'all lost because your defense allowed LSU to score more points.

Your defense was furthest from a GOAT label during OT on 11/5.....eta in fact it didn't exist

You can't be the GOAT DEFENSE and let a FBS TEAM run for 290 yards. Period.
