I know right. The Vols are under 500 this year in non softball parks. All their HRs have been in the bandbox and their pitching has really suffered with those short fields. Hell I don’t think a single UT pitcher has a sub 18 era at home this year. Just garbage.

This Edgewood Academy out of Alabama?
No - Hokes Bluff High School. From 2003 to 2008 they won 6 straight championships in 4A and 3A. Great run wile it lasted, and got lots of our boys scholarships.

I'd put that up close to the arky foul ball CWS game.
I mean they were up 2 in the 7th once it was 10-4 they just wanted to save pitching for the rest of the weekend and left dudes out there to die

No, what we saw is the competition get much better and that UT got exploited for not having enough pitching. After BaseVOLS could no longer play teams like LSU (and win 5 times) they had some more trouble.
But maybe you’re on to something that the team with 100 HRs on the szn is lacking in power.

The coaches had little choice with two pitchers already down.

They are damn good,
Too bad their fans make it hard to be happy for them...

We are thank you. Also - THANK YOU for recognizing what our team is doing and not being a petty little bitch like all the piggies on here.

They used 8 pitchers yesterday, half from the 7th on. They have 2 more games to play and not a great crop of pitchers. What other options did they have? The last guy to throw was a DH/pitcher.

They still won’t win the CWS

Renovated stadium gets bigger and better by the day

quote:We did save many guys and threw a bunch of pitchers that haven't thrown many innings. Having said that Cam Hill (DH/P) is a legitimate pitcher and two-way player. Nate LaRue our catcher also pitches as well. Auburn has to recruit many two-way players because neither Auburn or Alabama has any sort of education lottery or scholarship program to suppliment the allotted 11.7 schollies like the rest of the SEC. We have the 11.7 and that's it. With two of our front line guys going down I'm now concerned because we (or UA) can't sustain injuries and win.

Miss State is gonna take 2 of 3 from Base Vols ( just hoping to get one in reality )
But if we did, I would be a good band wagon fan pointing back to this post.

No, you couldn’t, even if you were 20.

No…sorry you had infield power if that.
Minute Maid and other SEC parks must be small too :)

I don't mean that in a negative connotation. In high school, my sons played on 6 consecutive State Championship teams. That type of domination in high school might be expected, but what the Vols are doing right now, to the SEC, is on a level that I've never seen. Wow....
You’re a Bama fan. You haven’t seen much good baseball.

"The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead when the skies of November turn gloomy."
In your case, the Omaha wind and dimensions will have you scoring <3 runs per game in June, and then your posts will turn gloomy. *If you make it to the CWS.
