Nono. That was not a cut. I was merely saying that LSU has a great shot because even if Mett is improved a little that should be enough. Not much defense being played in the SEC this year, for some reason. We THINK Bama is good. And LSU. Also, Florida.....maybe South Carolina, although they didn't look as good against us as I thought they would. But of those teams we will play LSU and Florida...and you guys have Florida and Alabama.

Heck! ESPN is already saying the BCS Championship game is Alabama-Oregon.

As good a guess as any. I know LSU and Georgia will try to have a say in that, though!

Can't count out UF or LSU yet. But yeah, you're probably right

We UF fans are so few in number here...was this really necessary, bro?

Eh, don't lose to UT. Upset UGA and/or FSU and don't lose game you are supposed to win, and I can live with this season for UF.

Are you conceding the loss to LSU or counting that as a game y'all are supposed to win?

No doubt it could be a tough year for the Gators. you have a horrific schedule. On the other hand, if you play up to your potential and get a couple of breaks it could be a very, VERY good year for you.

If you take down Georgia, LSU, South carolina and Fla. State, it could be REALLY fun to watch your team climb the rankings. Fun for you. NOT fun for us!

What if UF beats UGA, and then SC beats UF?

Would they take the highest ranked team if all had one SEC loss?

That could be good for SC if we could beat Clemson

Highest ranked team unless 2nd place is within 5 spots. Then take top 2 and use head to head for tiebreaker

I think so...but that's assuming UGA and UF both beat LSU

Then we all run for cover!

I think this season kind of blows due to the fact that there are less than 10 good teams in all of NCAA football. There's a significant drop off after that. A lot of NCAA elites and powerhouses are stinking up the join too.

Good teams:
Alabama
Oregon
LSU
Texas A&M - 1 loss
Clemson
Georgia - 1 loss
maybe Ohio State (defense is garbage and they should win out because they don't play a soul).
South Carolina - 1 loss (I guess I have to throw them in here, even though I haven't been that impressed).

That's about it. 8 good teams. 5/8 are from the same conference.

Powerhouses like Texas, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska, Miami and so forth are stinking up the joint or eventually will stink up the joint at some point during the season. The "elites" (notably the SEC) have separated themselves from the rest of the nation and it's gotten kind of boring. Even then, lots of these SEC teams have major question marks (defense is shaky or they struggle to make a first down - Florida).

I love the SEC dominance, but I miss the days of parity sprinkled across the nation.

People are complaining about how bad this upcoming week of football is. Trust me, it is. But it's that way due to the lack of parity. Look at some of these games...these would have been/used to be "Gameday games". Now, they are snooze fests.

Tennessee @ Florida - in the mid to late 90s, this was "the game"
Auburn @ LSU - in the 2000s, this was "the game"
Kansas State @ Texas - used to be epic battles for the Big 12
Michigan State @ Notre Dame - classic rivalry that has produced fantastic games
Clemson @ NC State
Purdue @ Wisconsin
UNC @ Georgia Tech

College football is just in a rut right now. Hopefully it'll break its cycle soon.

This is retarded.

We had 22 first downs and 413 yards of total offense against Miami. Miami had 10 first downs and 212 yards total.

We're not going to turn the ball over six times every game (four times in the red zone).

UF can compete with UGA, and to think otherwise is stupid. It'd also be silly to count USCe out, as they could very well run the table.

Given how terrible their offense is, I just don't see it. Their defense is really good, but Pease can't seem to put Driskel in situations that cover up his weaknesses and/or play to his strengths, and they just don't have a Gillislee (yet anyway) to be their workhorse and go-to back in clutch situations.

I think they win 10 games, though.

Not with Coach Boom and that shitastic offense

Is your defense better than last year? No. Those stars you lost were the reason you narrowly won last season. Florida should have revenge on their mind. Murray has thrown pick-6's before, and that may be all Florida needs to tie the game or win this year.
