He really does make some phenomenal plays. There's a reason why he's at 1st as a true freshman. Just Friday night at the Box got to his nerves.
Also that play ended up being completely irrelevant(other than a few extra pitches). We got out of the inning shortly after.

I think what fricked him up was the pitcher was half-assing to the base. But he probably could have got the out unassisted.

He almost got the out after playing tossback with the pitcher and still running to the base. Had he just picked it up and ran to the base, he could have easily got the unassisted out. But for some reason he tossed it away from the base and then ran to cover the bag? Just makes you shake your head...

actually, the foul ball that Ryan Olenik failed to catch in the bottom of the 8th was more indicative of the way this season has went so far. Olenik doesn't play 3rd base normally, but was playing there for 1 inning due to pinch hitting shite. He misplays the easy foul ball that would have gotten the Rebels out of the inning down 5-3. the next 2 pitches were hit for homeruns that gave the Tigers an 8-3 win. All in all, it was a very sloppy game Ole Miss played last night. But what I like about baseball is we get to do it again the next day. Looking forward to another one tonight.
