That's an understatement. You saw first hand what Bama's passing attack looked like once Metchie and Jameson went down. And that's not making excuses. That's Bama's fault if we can't coach up 2-3 SEC caliber receivers to put out there with the kind of recruiting we do.

What's even funnier is that burrow had so much worse of a game than Mac.

Yeah. For Mac 213 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT was a really good stat line. Will bet you anything you want on who ends up having a better season.

McConkey played just as much Z receiver last year as he did slot.

You missed the point completely.
They specialize in different route trees. You can run a screen to a Z or Y receiver. Where they line up doesn't matter. Ladd is exponentially better at screens (he is slippier) than Burton.
So far this year, we are running a ton of screens and sweeps. We ran them last year to McConkey (not Burton. Burton got them 2 years ago but wasn't as effective).
