Why is this so hard to understand? You cannot unload on a punt returner before the ball gets there. Its not even worth debating. Its been a penalty forever.

Why is this so hard to understand? I don't have a single problem with the penalty. At all! You do something stupid you get a flag. Fine.
I have a problem with the ejection. Where was the taunting? I didn't see it.
I did see him get up immediately and skip away from the player.
You don't eject someone over kick catch interference and you don't have stupid comments about sitting him for the rest of the season.
If this were the case, then every time a receiver gets hung out for a ball and gets hit before it gets there defenders would be ejected.
Curles wanted to punish the kid because the fans were calling for it. The idiot SEC Network announcers, who have a habbit of talking out of their asses without fully knowing what's happening, have blown up it to be more of an incident than it was.
Look no further than Vandy's head coach, who said in his post game press conference that he in NO WAY thought Arkansas was playing dirty and that it was just one of those things that happens when players play full speed.

What really gets me is that Yahoo said the kid celebrated afterward, failed to show or mention what the celebration consisted of, and posted a picture to accomany the article showing him doing a salute.
They failed to mention THAT the pic was from a previous game and included in a BleacherReport preview of the Arkansas Vandy game with game predictions. LOL

No one is doubting the flag. Simply doubting whether it was an intentional hit.
