I'm not saying we will beat bama although as a georgia fan I feel good about the game, but this season just feels special.

The last time georgia won the national title they played: Notre Dame
The last time georgia won the national title freshman herschel walker number 34 led the offense.
This year we have gurley and marshall 3+4= 34 Gurshall

Does this mean anything once the game vs bama starts? No but it is interesting

I was really hoping you guys would just enjoy this and not talk about Hershel or 1980. It is so annoying. Just let this team be.

Yes.

In all seriousness I would like UGA to win the title this year. If only because if my team has to lose I'd rather it be to the number 1.

Im right with you guys on this. I wish our fanbase could act like theyve been there before instead of gawking at the lights and making all the obvious references. This is why people dont like us.

Just sit tight, keep your mouth shut and let the teams decide it on the field. If we win, the same holds true for the NCG. If we lose, at least we werent behaving exactly how others expected us to.

since murry has got the team in 2010, the dawgs are a 1 and 7 against teams ranked 15 or higher

2010

L arkansas
L auburn

2011

L Bosie
L South Carolina
L LSU
L Michigan State

2012

L South Carolina
W Florida

not only that, they were fav'ed to win in 4 of the 7 loses.

bama to cover is taking candy from a baby

The link below is a thread I made a while ago on this very issue. Many of those losses aren't Murray's fault, yet he gets saddled with that mantra anyway. Take the MSU game last year for instance, if our kicker doesn't have a case of the derps and wins the game, how does that affect what Murray did in ANY way? It doesn't, yet the stats will still reflect on Murray.

It is very odd. I am on the other side of this thought. I was thinking about how Georgia doesn't seem like a Goliath of a team. Even during the Auburn/UGA game I wasn't thinking "wow we could knock them out of a NC run if we beat them". I guess that I am a bit skewed into thinking that a non-undefeated year is not nearly as impressive.

I had viewed Bama as a insanely good team, and they are, but them losing means that in my mind this year will not be as good as there 2009 season.

In the end a NC is an NC but I am just not on board with the "special" team thing.

I remember you posting that. He played really well vs usce despite two turnovers. He had two td touchdown passes dropped vs lsu. Played well vs msu if i recall. Played like dump vs USCe this year but had no pass protection (alabama doesn't have a pass rush close to the caliber of south carolina). Florida he had protection but he played bad and our defense won it for us. IF murray plays well I am very confident in the play of our defense lately. GO DAWGS
