It's literally a soap opera now. Pre-internet people just waited until a hire was announced in the morning paper.
The obsession with Lane Kiffin...a coach who has never won anything of note...is borderline bizarre. Yet whoever lands him will act like they hit the lottery. At least when A&M hired Jimbo he had a natty on his resume.
But the mass delusion about Nick Saban took lsu to another level of lunacy. Spent a few days in LA recently...they really did think Saban was returning. It wasn't just anonymous message board clowns. So delusional it was scary.
