Bama's an 8-4ish team.... but the Mickey Mouse schedule will have you 10-2... vols are garbage and your tough remaining games are in ttown.

I have two degrees from Alabama and love the University. I was a student under the dead days of Shula so I get how great we have had it lately. But I would rather watch a team with average talent play its heart out than watch a bunch of entitled 5 stars ruin a program with a "when is the draft" attitude.

So Arkansas' Defense had no role in Bama having one of their lowest offensive outputs under Saban?
Watching the game it was clear Arkansas out bama'd bama then beat themselves.
Arkansas played well, no doubt. But this bama team played like dog shite on offense. And a few drives on defense as well.
Ark definitely was the more physical team overall, and especialy when bama had the ball.
That is exactly the problem -- bama should never be manhandled on the O-line that badly, with all the talent we have coming in every year. We don't think talent is the problem.
Therefore the problem is either bad coaching, entitlement, lack of leadership, lack of team chemistry, or some combination thereof.
The quote by Blake points to entitlement and/or lack of leadership. Not that bad coaching and/or lack of team chemistry can't also be problems (hem hem, Lane Kiffin)

We have a qb, that can't take what the defense ia giving, he has no clue how to read a defense, he either throws to Cooper or he's clueless, we get the play snapped 2 seconds before the play clock expires every snap. On the road he just isn't able to handle the pressure.
So how are we better than Ole Miss if this is the case? We had 1 rushing yard late in the 3rd quarter and were outgained by 100 yards to Arkansas' offense. It's not just a QB problem. We can't run the ball. We can't throw the ball.

I really don't know what you are talking about entitled 5 stars in regards to playing hard. The o-line - only Robinson is a "guaranteed NFL" type guy. The defense - I think they all played pretty hard last night especially considering they were on the field for 13 minutes in the first quarter alone. So I just fail to see this attitude that you are seeing.

Pretty much. It's a "we are Bama and we deserve to win" mentality.

You ever think that maybe your problem is the same problem Texas has/had?
There are soft 5*s out there, there are also tough 3 and 4*s waiting to prove everyone wrong.
Disregard recrootin' rankins, acquire men.

What game was Sims watching last night? They looked like hot garbage.

It would not bother me at all if he did. I don't blame Sims. He is a below average QB being asked to play at a championship level. He does not have that capability. But we have a lot of starters who are playing well below their level.

This pretty much sums it up. You have a guy like Darius Philon, who had his scholarship cut by Saban, out there mauling the man in front of him because he has a chip on his shoulder.

Alabama has a very good defense but your offense blows. Hiring Kiffin was a big mistake IMHO. Saban should see the obvious that Sims is better suited to a read/option type offense and hired a OC with solid read-option experience. Also, recruit better, bigger, more athletic QB's in general. Blake Sims is too small at 6' and barely 200lbs. If Bama would open up their offense, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to recruit the best quarterbacks in the nation.

There are a couple flaws in your analysis. For one thing, I certainly didn't expect the Kiffin hire to be a smooth transition -- particularly over the first five games. I expected massive growing pains this year and was lulled into a false sense of security with the Florida game.
Secondly, I realize that assistant coaching positions have a relatively high turnover rate, but are you seriously suggesting that an OC be hired based solely on a single 5th year senior quarterback?
