As an LSU fan, I'll be frank and tell you why. LSU shite the bed in 2011 when hard headed Les Miles stuck with a pathetic JJ after half time, and we were dealt a humiliating loss at the hands of BAMA, 21-0. BAMA fans, as many as most RANT fans have abused (rightfully so, I might add), the LSU fanbase after the debacle. It actually was the beginning of a clear decline in LSU football, and BAMA has not been shy about rubbing that in our faces.
The fact that another SEC team got routed by 28 points in an embarrassing fashion takes some of the sting off of that 21 point embarrassment. We no longer have the most embarrassing NC loss. BAMA does. And when some of the pompous BAMA contingent starts with their L8U monikers, etc., start chiming in, it's nice to finally have a bit of ammo to fight back. Before that, we had none.
Until we beat you, we will have to live with being your bitch, just as A&M is ours. You just took some of the sting out of the 21-0 embarrassment.

Do the people in the so-called Gump football program admit that they were bested? I have seen a lot of the familiar ‘we beat ourselves’ hubris from your players.
Also I enjoyed seeing some non-calls go against your crooked program for once. I look forward to the day when the bias in favor of Gumpland in the SEC gets a full airing.

It's a stupid argument to make because it was 8 years ago and has no bearing on the future. Theres more recent games to brag about than one that's almost a decade old.
The difference between that and the championship we lost is that Bama won the game against LSU. Lsu didnt beat Bama on Monday. No fan of another team has any business bringing up 2011 because LSU beat the dog shite out of every team but Alabama that year. I just never saw the point in bragging about another teams win as if it was your own team. Dick riding is the dumbest thing you can do as a fan.

Anyone that makes excuses for that shite show of a performance Monday is stupid. Clemson straight up dominated us from the first drive. They were better prepared and executed damn near flawlessly. We played like shite. Their defense shut down our offense. And our defense couldn't stop a cumshot
