Oklahoma State stood a much better chance last week:

Alabama could have lost: They didn't. Blowout

They were supposed to stay #2 in 4/6 of the computers and make up ground: They didn't. Actually it's a complete reversal and Alabama is now #2 in 4/6 computers. Computer superiority going into Bedlam is no longer an option.

They're supposed to, eventually, get all the #3 votes and 25% of the #2's. They didn't come close. No 1 cares.

VA Tech was supposed to cooperate and lose. They didn't and have you seen Clemson?

They were supposed to gain the anti-SEC, anti-rematch votes: They DID do this. All 5 of them.

So now the odds changed from 95% lock for Alabama to 99.99%.

Yet LSU fans have been riding the cowboys harder than usual this week.

Alabama is a done deal. Get over it already.

College gameday will be at Atlanta, not Stillwater btw. No 1 give's a shite.

The odds of them getting thereare 1,000,000 to 1.

No because Ok. St. will still be splitting votes with Stanford, there's no way they would be a consensus #2 or close to it compared to 11-1 Bama or 11-1 Stanford.

Lets not forget they lost in Ames, Iowa a week ago.

Wasn't LSU #7 in the BCS in 2007 going into the SEC Championship game? So, I ain't betting anything right now.

the dont need to be they only need 20 or 25% 2 place votes and the rest have to be at least 3rd. This is due to their computer superiority if the beat okie

Didn't they have an extra game to make up the difference?

Not sure but I think the Big12 and SEC were the only 2 conference then that had championship games in 2007.

They no longer have computer superiority going into that game. They need 35-40% now. Like a hail marry from the parking to change 75 people's minds.

It's too late. They needed to be #2 going into Bedlam in the computers. And that's IF they win, which is another shot in hell.

Okie State is hosting a top 10 game. The computers will change. Listen, it's a long shot for any other team to move into #2. Nobody disagrees. But it's not a lock until Sunday.

Too little too late. The computers are swapped and they have even MORE ground to make up.

Wouldn't it be a better argument to say that Alabama is a lock barring hell freezing over and devil giving free sleigh rides?

There's not another week. There's 24 hours (actually less depending on game time) between Bedlam and the final vote.

Yes, and we jumped an idle Georgia that was several spots ahead of us in the BCS and who didn't make the SEC championship game in 2007.

Given where OSU is, it will take 35-40% of the 2nd place votes jump Alabama. They picked up 5. Where they gonna get the other 65? Really?

EDIT: And actually they might not have picked up those 5. They might have been given to Va Tech or Stanford.

bama will likely be in the title game imo but. . . . . you seem to keep forgetting that oklahoma state plays the #10 team next weekend for the big 12 title while bama is sitting home. if they win that game they will be #2 in the computers and if va tech loses will pick up some of their votes. Also voters are now voting on who they want in the title game not who they think is the 2nd best team in the country people might change their vote
