It WAS 25% of the 2nd place votes needed. Now it's 35-40%. Why do you think that is?

You answered your question. The computers changed, requiring more votes to change. If the computers change again, this time in favor of Okie State, fewer votes will be required to change.

Is it that difficult to understand that the computers are fluid?

Alright, so what you're trying to say then is at best OSU would take back just the two comps it lost last week correct? If this is so I'm assuming you ran math on this correct?

It's 35-40% right now. Where does it go after an Oklahoma St win (hint: back to 25%)? EVERYONE said that Alabama would jump Oklahoma St in the computers while they were idle.

At least you were there when I predicted all this last week.

Been great debating with you.

Meet me in NOLA for a beer. Or 100.

In which case they would only need 25% second place votes (if the rest were 3rd place...which we agree is unlikely).

So again the computers will not have changed at all over the two week period. Dude is awful at math.

I thought OSU had to be a complete #2 (after lowest and highest dropped computer score, which I would think means OSU needs 5 of the 6 to be #2) for the 25% to be in effect. Is that incorrect?

To be fair.. he's correct about the % votes needed right now. Virginia Tech is acting as a wedge for the 3rd place votes too. He puts too much weight into the polls as they are -now- though. Alabama really is sitting at about 75% to play in the BCS championship. It's a favorable situation for them. A Virginia Tech loss and an Oklahoma St win could change that very quickly though.

I assume that Alabama is in the BCSCG on the merit of Clemson looking horrible and Oklahoma being (IMO) better than Oklahoma St.

but he says its too late for it to change. he said Oklahoma State had to be #2 in the computers GOING INTO Bedlam. So dumb to think that.

It's going to be very very interesting if Virginia Tech loses and Oklahoma St wins. I mainly want it to happen so I can watch the meltdown.

Yeah. I have a hard time picturing Virginia Tech losing but anything is possible i suppose.
