These items will fix College Football

1. Start playoffs earlier and finish by the first weekend of January.
2. Portal opens January 15th and closes January 31st (once per year).
3. NIL becomes an end of year of bonus payable only after the season is over. (Including bowl games).
4. Players must play (barring injury) or be available to play in every game to eligible for their NIL BONUS. Period.
Do this and I think all these issues will be resolved. Period.
What say ye all?

There has to be contracts. This is all masked as NIL. If the number 1 qb in the country goes to A&M and makes 5 million dollars as an ambassador for blue belle ice cream the university has no grounds what so fricking ever to hold that money until he finishes the season. You can't have NIL. Its as simple as that.

Limit one transfer without restrictions. A second transfer requires losing a year of eligibility.

What band of armed goons will enforce all these "items"...perhaps IRS agents that lose their jobs if Trump disbands the agency?

One thing needs to be done….eliminate the portal.
Kirby has been preaching how damaging the portal is to the game…it makes it very difficult to build culture. It’s tough for fans. It’s tough for recruiting.
NIL is whatever. Needs some guidelines but money has long been in the recruiting game and will continue to be part of the recruiting game.
If school A offers a dude a milly but has a shitty culture while school B is only offering $600k but has a strong culture, with no portal the kid is forced to choose what’s most important to them if they’re stuck with the decision for 4 years.
