Oklahoma has a much better brand than Arkansas and has superior historical success in the past and including now.

Arkansas hasn't done anything historically in decades and is a SEC bottom feeder.

Unless the culture changes, the results stay the same.

Because we’ve made bad coaching hires.

When Pittman was hired he was asked, as a minimum standard, to bring the team back to being bowl eligible on a regular basis. He accomplished that and won a couple of bowl games in the process.

To be honest, Pittman stabilized the program from being a literal cupcake to a competitive team once again.

Not sure when his contract expires, but it sure could have been a heck of a lot worse.

He did just that but he has to sustain or risk letting it slide back down to Chad level again.

He needs to win the Ole Miss game in a bad way or he is looking at missing out on a bowl.

I used Oklahoma as an example because Norman isn’t any better than Fayetteville. It’s the cheating and money that made Oklahoma and other top programs are now.

Stop saying Arkansas hasn’t done anything in decades. That’s idiotic and you still haven’t defined what “done anything “ means even after I challenged you about it before. Arkansas has won big games, won New Year’s Day games, won division, finished top five. I’d say that’s doing something with the limitations Arkansas has and some bad coaching hires.

Arkansas isn’t a bottom feeder, you pussy. Mid tier, yes, with potential to raise the bar.

Pittman has stabilized the program to an extent, but we still do expect better than what he’s done. A Georgia fan won’t understand, but Arkansas fans still expect to win more than just go 6-6. There’s also clear signs of regression from Pittman as well so far this season.

But for only a few exceptions, the HC doesn't call the offense or defense. I like Sam, I just don't think his OC and DC hires have gotten Arkansas to the next level.

Odoms teams loved him, but he never recovered from Heupal leaving for the UCF job. He also never got the DC hire right. Drink has been fortunate, and got both right this year. Don't you think Sam is the perfect fit if he could get his OC and DC hires right?

Some of these posters are right. Arkansas doesn’t have the money to hire big or we would have nabbed a better coach. We got outbid by mizzou and ole miss. Facts. We don’t have the in state talent as far as recruiting goes. It’s not that desirable of a job. Pittman was hired to stop the bleeding. He won 9 games and everyone was hopeful because of the hires he made. Recruiting has improved with Sam. I do like our defensive hire but he was lazy when he hired enos to come back. I just think he’s peaked.

Arkansas fans don’t expect a national championship but we do expect someone to come in here and win 7-8 every year with an occasional 9 win season. We don’t expect to be blown out by anyone either. It’s been a rough 12 years but that isn’t who Arkansas is historically

From 1959 to 1992 Arkansas has finished ranked four times in the top five, 10 times in the top 10, fives times in the top 15 and top 20, twice.

Many of these years didn't have a top 25 and if it existed earlier then Arkansas would have more ranked appearances.

That is what you call doing something.

Arkansas does have the money. However, our money people would rather be cheap. Cheap! Kiffin we let go because he was having Arkansas and Ole Miss start a bidding war and it pissed Yurachek off. I don’t believe for one minute that we were seriously considering hiring Dinklwitz.

I already agreed with the lack of in-state recruiting. In football at least. Any job is desirable when you offer the right money and support.

Recruiting really isn’t any better than it was before. We get a top 30-25 class regardless of the coach. Except we play against top ten classes every year.

Finally an answer from you. With the right hires, Arkansas can do those things again.

Dinklewitz has played no one so far. Absolutely no one!

No, Pittman isn’t the perfect fit at Arkansas considering he’s still “learning on the job” and is too damn soft and inconsistent. Arkansas is better than that and we need a change.
