What are the reasons Auburn fans want JJ gone? I've seen all this hate for him the last couple of years but am not informed enough to know why it's there.
* Him and Tim Jackson giving premium tickets to his buddies (Between the 30s). Not allowing others to upgrade to seats between the 20s without paying a premium
* Sonny Galloway Hire (Baseball) - not enough vetting
* Clint Meyers (Good hire) but not enough vetting of him or his son
* Ran off the best coach we ever had (Marsh - Swimming)
* Hiring Mr. 5-19 (terrible hire, saved by Gus and Cam, but lead to 3-9 and 0-8).
* Old school guard, never had a job except at Auburn, over his head in managing an athletic department
ETA: Bragging about a big scoreboard, planning and spending money for an endzone expansion. Stadium has not had a major renovation since Dye.

I believe the word you're looking for is "vetting"

It was a typo, but the hires in fact smelled, so that also works. But I changed to Vetting. Thanks

Underperformance and inconsistency in the Big 3 sports via bad coaching hires. Auburn runs one of the largest athletic department budgets yet we are always on a roller coaster ride. There's also been some notable mishaps in his decision making such as the Chizik hire and huge buyout, Sunny Galloway debacle and now him apparently trying to cover up a softball scandal, which is just dumb. He has ties to the old Auburn good ole boys club and alot of folks want an outsider who can successfully manage a multi-million dollar athletic budget. I'm interested to see how the new President handles the softball situation. Obviously we can't have the AD of the school being dishonest to the press and fans.

You mean Cam saved Chiz that year. Had one of the best seasons I can remember a QB ever having. Phenomenal. Beat people running and throwing.

Lots of ADs have been primarily employed by there school, but JJ is the only one I can think of that's never held a job outside of the county in his life. He's really not qualified for the role he's in and I'd bet AU would make a splash hire if they ever fired him.

There are likely reasons to ask JJ to move on. But these comments in April are probably not one of them.
He no doubt knew about the investigation. He no doubt had advisement from University Counsel and PR about how to respond. At that point in time, the University may have believed they were going to be able to successfully negotiate with the plaintiffs in a private settlement. If that was the case, his choice of words should have been even MORE amorphous, so as not to draw attention to any party. But he probably just fumbled the nuance of the planned statement. It happens.
Early optimism in settlements doesn't always hold up to the demands of money and the strains of time. And so here we are.

You bammers outrage is laughable.
You're giving us too much credit. No one cares about a scandal with Auburn's girl softball team.

Yet this is the 4th or 5th thread I have seen some bammer start about it.

If this becomes a thing, it's because the SJWs at ESPN decide to make it one. Even then I doubt it catches fire.
Otherwise, it's about a sleazy coach who apparently had a (mutual) relationship with a player and probably hit on a couple others, and our AD being something of a bumbling mess.
Compliance-wise, I have no concerns

Apparently that isn't true. Some bama fans seem very interested.

So what if Gus stumbles this year? How hot does JJ's seat get given this clusterfrick with the softball team? Sounds like it could bring some bad publicity and lawsuits down...and JJ fumbled it.

Tons of evidence bammer cheats under shorty Saban. Cars, houses, cash, etc. Bammers couldn't care less.
Kept Logan Young's best friend as athletic director for years. A guy that almost certainly knew Ole Lpgan was paying players. Bammers couldn't care less
Mike DuBose screwed his own secretary, made a public statement lying about it, and Bammer still kept him as their coach. Bammers couldn't care less
