Maybe if you listed all of the other times a team had both in preseason projections, it could help decide if it is worth a thought. But, like most every poll before mid-OCT, it likely isn't worth a great deal of thought.
I can only find two occurrences (unless AI is a liar). Both are Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne at Clemson in both 2019 and 2020. Neither finished first team AP All American in either season for their position.
Also, has the preseason AP AA list been released? I haven't seen it

The better look would be who was on the list preseason those years.

LSU promoted Verge even after Verge was singled out as guilty in a DOJ class action lawsuit that found LSU guilty of systemic sexual abuse. He was suspended a month by LSU for sexual misconduct.
I am far from an LSU fan, but doesnt Bama have an NIL issue going on with a guy busted during a human trafficking case, for soliciting prostitution? Just feels weird to throw a ton of shots at LSU when that is the case. I havent even seen that the guy was fired, just suspended indefinitely

94 PSU offense was the best I have ever seen until the 2019 LSU Tigers. Those teams are scary similar.
