There hasn't been a repeat SEC champion since 1997, 1998 Tennessee

That's 16 years and counting - the longest period ever without a repeat champion by any current conference. Now that Auburn is out of the race there will be no repeact champion this year.

Even Saban couldn't do it during Bama's dynasty years. Saban has more national titles than SEC titles FWIW.

Yes, because there are more than two good teams in the conference these days. Tennessee isn't one of them, however.

Is it though? There's a lot of things I would associate with being a Vol. Great isn't one of them. I mean Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley's orange slacks have graced the sidelines of Neyland.

The fact that you posted a picture from 16 years ago, kind of emphasizes that it's not great to be a Tennessee Vol. Children who weren't alive at the time of that picture are now licensed drivers. Tennessee freshman were 2 years old at the time of that picture!

Tennessee also hasn't won any championship since 1998. Or any bowl games since 2008.
