Fair enough. They sound suspect as hell though. Soldiers who were more highwayman and marauder than anything else.

Here is some information on Louisiana’s fighting tigers, and the various accomplishments from being a key unit for General Stonewall Jackson to actually winning their battles and positions at Gettysburg, and being referred to as the “Southern Shock troops” Now what did your local guard unit do again?

And this article talks about the death of their leader Major Wheat, 6 foot 2, 240 pound fearless warrior, and only man who could lead and control the unit. “If I fall boys, bury me where I lay” Always leading from the front.

At one battle they ran out of bullets and rather than retreat they succeeded in repelling a yankee attack by throwing rock, freaking rocks.

We should be the only mf tigers anywhere.

I'm for playing for the right to be the only Tigers in the conference. I think everyone would be pretty excited to see a game where one team was going to have to change their official mascot forever.
