There are too many tigers in this conference.

Mizzou's Tigers were named after a Union fighting force that defended Columbia from the slavers. So Mizzou can keep it.
As for the others in this conference, they should be renamed for something local to them.
Louisiana State Fighting Nutria
Auburn Poisoned Oaks

The Auburn Eagles just rolls off the tongue. Wish they’d go with that. Their tradition of the eagle flying before the game is the best in college football.

LSU is named as the confederate regiment that every yankee was terrified of. They would burn a town to the ground if they didn’t fork over their whiskey rum, and women immediately.

Doesn't matter. Yankees kick that arse. So change your name.

To be completely fair sometimes it didn’t matter whether it was a Southern town or a Yankee one, and pretty much the Southern towns were scared of them too. The basically took the meanest, badest mfers they could find in New Orleans be they in jail, or whatever and formed a regiment. I think the city business led just wanted to be rid of them.

That's something to be proud of I guess.

It always makes me laugh when people don't realize that nutria are found all over the south. They're in Missouri too.

Nutria is a medium-sized, grayish-brown rodent with a long, round tail with few hairs. It looks like a beaver without the large flat tail, and has hind webbed feet. Nutria are found from Central Texas eastward and on the Texas Coast in marshes, swamps, ponds and lakes.

There's a bounty on them in Texas and people can get $5 a tail for them. They're in Austin too.

I live on the far Southwest side of Missouri, never seen one. Or I did and thought it was a big arse rat

Everyone knows that the real tigers are the Memphis Tigers.

I've seen then a couple of times in BR. There's a lake in a neighborhood that's close to mine and I saw them there as a kid. Then they had a few in a big arse ditch by a place that I used to work. I'm not a big hunting or fishing guy but I'd imagine they have some in the backwoods and swamps.

Its called being alpha dog. They didn't sneak in at night to steal land. They just showed up and it was handed over

Not gonna lie. That would scare the shite out of me and I'd be running away faster than Tyreek Hill.

R.O.U.S.’s are most often found in the Fire Swamp.
