I kinda agree with this. Its offensive to the original who, although dumb as hell, was a genuinely good guy. We should stick to updyke as he is a much more befitting representative of them as a whole.

What I don't understand is why it's supposed to be an insult?
Forrest Gump was a huge movie and is wildly beloved and celebrated. I love the fact he "played" for Bama and Alabama football is featured so prominently in the movie and the book was written by a Bama grad.
I don't know any Bama fans that it upsets really. So yeah, ya'll need to try harder.
