this is one of those rare sports we Dawgs fans don't have to worry about not being ranked near the top of.
Dribble-dribble through the end of the 2018-19 season...
#1. Kentucky (2,293 in 116 seasons---#1 in the nation)
#2. Arkansas (1,688 in 98 seasons---#30 in the nation)
#3. Alabama (1,675 in 106 seasons---#31 in the nation)
#4. Tennessee (1,656 in 110 seasons---#40 in the nation)
#5. Missouri (1,615 in 113 seasons---#48 in the nation)
The rest of the SEC is so far down the list, a high powered telescope couldn't find them.

Alabama is the only school that's top 3 winningest all-time in the SEC in:
Football, Basketball and Baseball
Although college baseball is a minor sport.

Missouri, Alabama, and Tennessee are among the 7 teams to make the tournament twenty times and never reach the Final 4.

This century has been kind to Tennessee. Still yet to get over the Final 4 hump (The Michigan St. dagger as time expired to advance to the final 4 still haunts me) but we're trending up compared to our historical norm. At the end of the day that's all you can ask for.

I’m pretty sure LSU and Tennessee are the only schools with at least 30 SEC wins in the last 3 seasons

Tennessee has lost 6 second weekend NCAA Tourney games by a combined 14 points since 2000. Pretty crazy. The 08 Louisville loss was a beatdown but every other Sweet 16/Elite 8 loss has been a heartbreaker.

How can this be? I’ve been repeatedly told Bama only cares about football.

What’s weird (not a dig, just unusual) is that LSU is second to Kentucky in regular season titles with 11 but has only won the conference tourney once.

We historically blow in the conference tourney. My theory is that LSU basketball is SUPER up and down. We’re either really good so the tournament doesn’t matter much or so awful we aren’t making the dance anyway With a good performance but not winning

Georgia Tech hasn't won an SEC title since D-Day and they still have twice as many as Georgia.
