I just hope you can find some peace this holiday season.

Yeah, it was a tough season for the Gators. I can see why you'd want to change the subject after you lost your damn mind the last page.

Pods will work. 1 permanent game from the other 3 pods and rotate the pod a team plays every year. It also shuffles divisions so east/west is a thing of the past and it maintains the championship game.

Lesser rivalries will be maintained (like Battle for the Boot) but will only be played twice every 4 years)

The addition of two more teams (OU & Texas) on top of A&M and Missouri recently is an underrated amount of chaos for the SEC.
I like the idea of making it back into a proper conference where you can play everyone (home and away) in an efficient amount of time.
But we need the basic structure of the conference to be consistent and familiar. In my opinion that means doing the best we can do to preserve the games like:
Alabama/LSU
Alabama/Auburn
LSU/Florida
Florida/Tennessee
Auburn/Georgia
Georgia/Florida
Georgia/USC
Tennessee/Vanderbilt
Alabama/Tennessee
Ole Miss/MSU
LSU/Ole Miss
LSU/A&M
LSU/Arkansas
A&M/Texas
Texas/OU
Texas/Arkansas
OU/Arkansas
Arkansas/Missouri
There's a lot of good and interesting football games there. The rivalries are a huge part of the story and the reason to watch the SEC game instead of say good Baylor versus Ok State kind of games
I love the idea of the pods being used as the tool to preserve those rivalry games. That becomes a huge part of the value of the conference going forward

How does it contradict itself?
You can still have the Battle for the Boot .
Still present the winner the trophy.
But only play it twice every 4 years.
