" Like I said, emotions run high in a game like this. When you watch an opposing player go down over and over again, sometimes any logical thinking or understanding of what cramping can do gets thrown out the window. Your emotions get the best of you and cause you to do something stupid like boo or cheer an injured player. And that's what I think happened with the majority of the Bama fans not in the student section."
I agree. I had more of a problem with the booing of the o-lineman because unlike the cheering during the endzone injury it was done because many thought he was faking it to stop the clock when in fact he WAS actually hurt. In hindsight, many Bama fans after getting away from the stadium with time to reflect probably felt like dbags. The cheering during Peterson's endzone injury was totally a carry over from the ongoing noise and buzz after Julio's breakaway TD. It had zero to do with actual cheering the injury and the ALA....BAMA chant was an extension of that but was very poorly timed by the cheerleaders who were apparently oblivious to an injured player at the other end of the field.
As for the so called chanting/cheering of JJ, I honestly don't recall any cheering of that. I don't know where that accusation is coming from.
The booing of the o-lineman and the dbag punk in the student section that threw his plastic cup full of ice and drink at the LSU players trotting to the locker room were the two incidents I had a big problem with.

LSu fans complaining about lack of respect and classlessness are the most laughable post on this board. LSu is NATIONWIDE. for being classless and intolerable to oppsing fanbases. IF what you say is true just look at it as there is a new bully on the block.

typical AL redneck trying to justify lack of class and actions to which we are all used to

When the first LSU player went down the LSU section in the upper deck corner started chanting "LSU LSU LSU".
I asked people around me if this was a LSU tradition or what because it seemed weird to me to cheer when a member of your own team was injured.
I happened every time an LSU player went down and then SOME Alabama fans started chanting over them.
What pissed me off is when Javy went down our fans were chanting "Javy Javy Javy" and the LSU section started chanting LSU over us.
So both sides had their less than stellar moments.
I had an LSU fan in front of me scream after the safety "Break McElroy's fricking neck next time!"
Classless, rude, and tacky? Yes. Something I will extrapolate and use to tarnish the whole LSU fanbase? No.
So, do y'all always chant "LSU LSU LSU" when and injured LSU player is down? Because it started up immediately in this section every time yesterday.

The LSU fans were the ones that started the chanting yesterday during the injury and they were not chanting the players name. It was the LSU fans in the East upper deck.
The crowd was quiet while the player was down and those LSU fans in the upper deck started chanting L-S-U, L-S-U, and that is when the BAMA fans got fired up and drowned them out.

Who said it didn't? I never said one way or the other.
But is it an LSU practice to chant "LSU LSU LSU" every time a LSU player goes down?
Because from what I saw, if LSU fans don't care enough to be silent when a Tiger is down, why should the opposing fans care?

Watching the game on TV, the whole national audience got to notice how classless the Alabama fanbase truly is. Not only has stereotypes been reinforced, the Gumps now have a national audience pulling for FLorida.
for you apologists on here, you are full of crap. It was loud and clear.
