You don't want to get in a cow pattie throwing contest with Bama, especially if you just recently joined the conference. All the money in Texas and all the tea in China won't make a damn bit of difference. Sucks, but that's the way it is. The fact that Jimbo is such a blowhard doesn't help your cause either. Makes himself a very easy target. The best way to get the best of Bama is to just sit back and let them get complacent, and they will; they always have.

exactly right, those players didn't all of a sudden say, hey Im going to A&M because I think they can win a Championship. 7 five stars don't go there for the hell of it.

They went 8-4 with a horrible 3rd sting back-up QB all season. They still were able to beat Bama in College Station when I bet there were a big number of recruits in town. They also had a really good season in 2020 and finished up ranked 5th and honestly should have made the play offs. I've always thought that there was a fix on their game with Georgia that year. I remember 5 or 6 crucial obvious missed calls by the refs that would have changed the outcome of the game and they'd have made the playoffs.

They went to A&M for 50-100k a semester. You can only play 11 at a time, and thats a lot of egos for Jimbo to handle.
Plus, the demographic student base aint hooking up with the Football players. I'll leave it at that.

I’m going to sound petty here, but why is nobody concerned that Texas had a losing season and finished #5?
In addition, we finished 6th the year before. So shooting up is now quantified as 5 spots?

Maybe Murph but we played them in 2019. 2020 they had 1 loss to Alabama.
