This is rich considering you have a STADIUM named after a coach who won ONE SECC in 25 years...now please explain to me again about underachieving.

Richt is a good coach. Maybe not elite, but he's good. Georgia would be stupid to fire him unless they knew they could get an elite coach.
There is a lot more room under what Richt has done than over it.

My most-passionate UGA fan friend says "wish we had Les Miles, at least he knows how to motivate players".
Average UGA fans don't get at invested as the rest of us, they just want to see a winner on Saturdays. In some ways I'm envious of it. Average LSU fan knows the 2-deep chart.

If your friend said that after 2011, I could buy it, but now after 2012-14? Nah.
I also don't buy your idea that all lsu fans know the 2 deep. That's just a silly claim to make, don't ya think? I guess I don't know any average Uga fans.

Every UGA person I associate with is passionate down to the core

Calling BS on this entire comment. I have LSU family members and they couldn’t name more than 2 offensive lineman. It’s impossible to paint a fan base with one paint brush. Ridiculous comment

He probably says y'all more than UGA fans.
And who is Bo Bounds?

And I'm sure you have a large sample size, yea? You don't seem like the type that would generalize hundreds of thousands of people based off of a handful.

So your defense of Mark Richt is to bring up Shug Jordan? Wha a joke!
There is no way Auburn would keep a loser like Richt today. Tommy Tuberville went 42-9 between 2004-2007, had one losing season in 2008, and was promptly fired or forced to resign.

Not one SEC school would have fired Mark Richt. Fact.

What's Mark Richt's overall record.
How many wins does he average a year?
After you answer those, ask yourself what coach would want to come to a school that runs off a coach like that

Waking up.....with Georgia on your Mind!!!
You throw out the same 3 stupid arguments in every thread. You've been disproved and reamed so many times, yet still come back with this lame arse shite. We appreciate your concern, but better get back behind the counter before you lose your job. Heard Taco Bell was serving breakfast now. Does that mean you have to wake up earlier?

Let it go gatorhata....he's got nothing. All he does is bring up 2005 and 1980. He doesn't let other contributing factors like facts get in his way. He's secretly hoping we do fire Richt so Auburn can have a chance against UGA again. Hoping for a Fulmer effect or something. He's just a lonely idiot that mumbles the same ol' Auburn fodder against UGA.

This is even more ridiculous than the things that phan posts, which is saying quite a lot. I mean, I don't even know where to begin making fun of this idiocy.

There is a clear dividing line between old school UGA fans and younger fans.
Older fans graduated from a UGA from another era. It was easy to get into and drew students from all across the state. These 45+ year old fans are typical to other rabid SEC fans that live and die by what occurs on Saturdays.
Younger fans that went to UGA during the HOPE era are different. They are largely drawn from the Atlanta metro area and many were from families not from Georgia or even the South. The much tougher academic standards over the past 15 years has limited the type of student that goes to UGA. The result is that younger alums typically don't have the edge to them than many SEC fan bases have. Thus, they're branded martini loving, wine and cheese fans. Plenty of exceptions to the rule but this is generally the truth.

I agree with probably 90% of what you said. Most of what you said is completely correct.
But just because more and more folks going to UGA these days are transplants who didn't necessarily grow up as UGA fans...doesn't mean that outside of 12 times per year they just don't care about football or forget it exists or something. There are just as many young diehards for UGA as there are for other schools, just like there are plenty of "whatevers" at other schools like there are at UGA.
There are tons of exceptions, and I don't think it's generally the truth. What I do think is the truth is that at ANY school, UGA and elsewhere, you're going to have a whole bunch of the following:
-grew up as fans, diehard to the core
-didn't grow up as fans, became fans at the school
-follow the team passively, root for them, but aren't necessarily super passionate
-couldn't care less about the team
And for that moron who said the average LSU fan knows the 2 deep, I mean that is one of the dumbest statements I've ever seen on a message board. Seriously.

I had never heard of Bo Bounds before now, but if he's accusing us of having other priorities outside of what the football team does on the field, then I'll take that as a compliment.
