Not defending the Bear but that was the general consensus back then. That black players were not capable of playing QB. Was that right or fair? No. But it was the way it was. Football for blacks has been a gradual process over the last 50+ years. First, kids were finally recruited to play, the black guys were hired as assistant coaches, then black kids got a chance to play QB, then black coaches became OC/DC’s and finall HC’s. Now more blacks are gradually getting the opportunity to be AD’s and other administrative positions.
Thankfully, nobody really cares if a coach, player, AD is black , they just want to win. I am glad to see that.

Bear Bryant was the greatest and will always be the most highly esteemed football coach for Kentucky fans.

I remember Georgia fans jeering and chanting while one of our players was down with a serious injury in 2014. Saw it in person.
Never have seen that behavior from Bama visitors.

Interesting fact about Georgia, they bent over and took it in the brown eye from General Sherman and didn’t put up any fight all.
To be fair, our men were at another party in Virginia so they couldn't be at two places at once, you dumb frick.

Sad that this actually gets you jollies. Not an ounce of wit or cleverness, but youll get some cheers from the very low IQ walmart crowd that have taken over the board.

He hated black people. Ironic that black people made him as a man, after a CA school whipped his arse, then and only then would he allow such people on his team.
He was also a raging alcoholic and slapped his wife around regularly.
What a fine hero you have at Alabama
I was pulling for Georgia and the East until I read this.
This is not cool deeprig.
