When's the last time you saw an Assistant Coach get between Saban and one of his players?

The Bama fans in this thread are acting just like typical Bammers. Get a life and worry about you own team instead of being Aubsessed 24/7.

It obviously works. The head coach is the head coach for a reason, the asst. coaches need to do there job and stay out of the head coaches way IMO.

We already know that it works for Saban. This isn't Saban's team. Trooper is also the assistant head coach.

He was trying to get them off the field

This. If the DC would have thought it was a bad call on his player, I'm sure he would have backed his player up. Why is the receivers coach coming to the rescue?

I swear, its like some of these people have never actually watched a college football game before. Assistant coaches often "save" the player from the head coach...its the position coaches who usually are more involved one on one with the players, and things like that build the rapport with them.

Trooper probably fist bumped him when Chizik turned his back. Thug. What does he actually do other than chest bump and fist bump all the players? Can he coach anything football related or is he just a glorified cheerleader?

Oh lord. Some poor Aubie is going to get forced into motorboating before the day is out. Could be worse than the Krystal Ball scandal.

He can recruit too. Thats his primary role, and it has been everywhere he's been. TennStud LOVED him. Fact.
