To the OP's point, Alabama has always recognized the strength of the conference is paramount to everyone's success and if the conference does well everyone does well. There is more to a conference than just football, a point that seems to be lost on Texas. Alabama has never tried to pull the kind of crap Texas did.

Literally no one is saying Bama is pushing LSU out. They are saying Bama gets the benefit from the league office and that LSU should look to other conferences

I get your point but I still don't understand why Aggy needs to ride Bama's dick like they do.

Our war with Bama may seem (and probably is on many levels) irrational and silly. Like the Civil War soldiers LSU that our mascot is a direct descendant from, we are known far more for passion and wrecking shite than for well reasoned calm discussion. We may lose some battles and even the war but we are going to pillage and plunder everything and anything that gets in our way.

But why after escaping the home wreckers at the University of Texas are y'all so eager to be Bama's band of merry milkmen serving at their pleasure?

You are a delusional idiot.

LSU fans want to say Bama is pushing them out of the conference like Texas did to Mizzou and A&M

Nobody has said this

I will be the first one in line to say frick Bama

No, you're a liar

Everyone is a little bit dumber from reading the nonsense you have posted. At no point in your conspiracy theorist rambling have you had one coherent or rational thought.

People say Alabama are cheaters... not that they are pushing anyone out of the conference. The fear of playing LSU is thick... if Bama looses are you going to murder your cousin to keep with tradition?

This is dumb.

Where would we go?

The Big 12? Super. We can play all of Aggy's old rivals.
ACC? Well, at least we'd play Florida State again. Miami, Clemson and Va Tech would be fun. Otherwise, long road trips to basketball schools.

LSU isn't leaving. There's no reason to leave. The only way LSU ever leaves is if things get so bad that multiple teams are ready to bolt the SEC and form a new conference. We are nowhere near that point. Not even remotely close. FFS, look at how hugely popular the SEC Network is. People will find things to whine about but at the end of the day there has probably never been a better time to be a member of this conference.

And the very first sentence of that story is...

quote:

As it nears the third anniversary of its launch, the SEC Network continues to be the king of college conference television networks.

And then...

quote:

While cord-cutting, among other things, has hurt subscriber numbers, the SEC Network is worth four times as much as any of the other conference TV networks, according to research SNL Kagan provided to AL.com.

So thanks for providing the evidence to make my case.

I would imagine that is cable subscribers that moved to wireless.

You would be correct.

And if you keep reading the article, it only gets better and better for the SEC.

quote:

While that represents a substantial loss, it pales in comparison to estimates of parent company ESPN losing more than a billion in revenue after losing more than 10 million subscribers since 2013. While the SEC Network is facing the same problems as many of its TV network peers, industry analysts are still bullish on it.

quote:

The success of the SEC Network is rarely considered when discussing ESPN's current issues, but by all accounts, it's been an unabashed success for all involved.

I lived through the 9 in a row, believe me when I tell you that Auburn fans weren't even close to being as bad as LSU fans are now.

Of course, the internet has changed all of that.
People write things anonymously that they would never say face to face. The internet has made for a much less civil society

You really have to ask?

Maybe because Texas wanted a larger portion of conference profits than most of the other teams.

Maybe because Texas wanted a network just for them, screw the conference.

Maybe that's why Colorado,Nebraska,Texas A&M,and Missouri paid millions of dollars to get away from Texas.

The SEC isn't perfect, but no team has ever thought they deserved more money than any other and everyone was on the same page for a conference network. If you want to leave the SEC
you don't have to pay a cent.Just say you want to leave and you're free to go.

TLDR:I'm pissed about the Nebraska/Oklahoma game ending because of fricking Texas.
