If there’s one thing Aggies can do, it’s fill all 102,733 seats at Kyle Field for Texas A&M Football. Now Athletics Director Trev Alberts puts the challenge out to A&M and surrounding areas, Texas and beyond to break an attendance record for the upcoming Brazil vs. Mexico soccer match at Kyle Field June 8.

The game is part of a five-city U.S. tour, the MexTour, for the Mexican national men’s soccer team in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The current MexTour attendance record of 90,526 was set in 2010 at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium against New Zealand.

In anticipation of the match at Texas A&M this summer, former international soccer players Emerson da Rosa from Brazil and Pavel Pardo from Mexico visited campus last week to tour Kyle Field and get to know Aggieland.

I understand why but still think it's weird that the Mexican National Team goes around the US playing a bunch of friendlies in football stadiums then turns around and acts like we're inferior and that "it's football not soccer gringos jajajaja"

If they were allowed to under FIFA rules, they’d likely play World Cup Qualifying games in America

Between this and the upcoming George Strait concert, that is a brilliant offseason use of Kyle Field. AD will be swimming in money before the start of football.
