He won a tournament game at VCU I believe. He's only had one season where he had the opportunity to coach an NCAA tournament game at LSU and that was in his first year after taking over the worst team in the league. Even if he just made the tournament all 3 years and didn't win a game, he would still be ahead of schedule in the rebuild. He's had a better start to his career at LSU than Coach K had at Duke.

So did Anthony Grant. And it WAS against Coach K.

I don't see how that's relevant, but congrats to Mr. Grant.

I meant relevant to my comment. I simply responded to someone saying Wade didn't have a tournament win. By the way, Anthony Grant is doing pretty well at Dayton right now. I also believe that Anthony Grant was given more than one opportunity at Bama to win a tournament game. But, never let facts get in the way of a good story. Troll on.

O is complete garbage. Do you realize that, other than his 3-21 stint at Ole Miss, he had been a position coach for his whole career?

Yet he was still thought of enough to be hired at Ole Miss and in interim roles at USC and LSU prior to actually getting the LSU job.

He somehow went from being a position coach at Southern Cal to being a head coach at Ole Miss. After being fired at Ole Miss, he was back to being a position coach again. He couldn’t even get a coordinator job.

And who cares that he was thought of well enough to get the Ole Miss job? Curley Hallman was thought of well enough to get the LSU job, by that standard. I mean, every coach who ends up sucking apparently was thought of well enough to get the job when they were hired.

Or, you know, no one with any name recognition wanted any part of those jobs.

Then he somehow won 10 games and finished as the #6 team. Then he somehow put together an undefeated national championship team while setting record after record. Interesting.

LSU could've easily promoted Aranda to head coach.

And then his transfer QB leaves and his real OC leaves and he gets embarrassed by Moo State with his recruits.

He's returned to his natural abilities. Circle of life and that shite.

Dude never even coached offense before coming to LSU.

Is having some growing pains in Carolina, you know where he's a "real OC."

If LSU somehow turns this season around and beats some of the bigger schools in the conference like we did in 2017, LSU fans are really gonna be insufferable on here. People just thought it was bad last year. Let LSU beat Auburn, Florida, Bama or A&M. The front page is gonna be filled with "you got beat by a team that gave up 623 yard to State and has a shrimp boat captain garbage arse head coach." The board will be unreadable.
