IMO, the LSU scandal is potentially bad for the entire league.

As much as shite as LSU deserves for it, the likelihood of this kind of thing going on at another SEC school is non-trivial.

The league can’t really handle two scandals like this close together. It would be a PR nightmare that would ensnare every program.

The league probably needs to implement some sort of compliance plan to ensure consistency of existing Title IX rule application across universities.

Sexual and physical assault should be handled by police, not school administrators.

And this is why you flip burgers and aren’t a member of the SEC BOD’s.

It definitely is, 100%. People outside of the SEC already think that the conference is win at all costs. This is a terrible look for the conference and I'm incredibly embarrassed that it's LSU putting credence to these stereotypes.

That’s not what the current federal law states. It doesn’t really matter what party you think should handle it.

It doesn't really matter that you think the SEC should ensure compliance with federal law.

I agree. I know Title IX.... but these aren’t drunken frat party misdemeanors

It’s a result of police officers historically doing a terrible job.

I agree.

Need Husch Blackwell to set up shop throughout SEC and report back.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Well sadly Plate, the universities don’t seem to be improving.

Not at all, but there’s also significant evidence that the rules are largely unfollowed.

At least there’s some mechanism for accountability for not following the rules. Your average cop has 0 accountability, and most can’t even recite the bill of rights - much less adhere to it.

The same seems to also be true for school administrators.

This is the Watergate of the SEC with LSU covering up their own cesspool of corruption in multiple forms. One could sarcastically say, "you should be so proud" but LSU really is on the coverup. The SEC could always boot their corrupt arses out and find a respectable replacement.

Auburn bama and usc were all caught up into it as well
