9 games is a non-starter, 10 is fine no uneven years with home and away games

Keep A&M, SEC needs Texas, let Ark and Mizzou go back to Big 12
Ark would get their rivalry with Texas back and Mizzou and Kansas would be back together.

I'd be for it if the permanent rivalries were an opt-in option for the schools. I'd rather LSU play more of the SEC schools on a reg basis than have forced rivalries.

Why put ourselves at a disadvantage compared to other conferences?

9 SEC games is a different animal than Big 10 or ACC.

I’d only do this when the conference champ becomes an auto qualifier

I can see several ways to split the west into 2 4-team pods, but unsure on the east without breaking up Ala. & Aub..

"They have to"? Having to win 2 MORE just to MAKE the playoffs is fine by you???

So, say Conf. A puts "Team Name A" with a perfect record who loses to Conf. B candidate "Team Name B" who has, say, 3 loses. You're telling me that due to that 1 game, "Team Name B" deserves to be in the playoffs instead of "Team Name A"?

As I stated, probably due to a 12 game schedule vrs. OVER 30 when, per you, you've played 10/13 teams.

10 limits UGA, UF, SC, & KY to only 1 game to schedule whomever since #11 is in-state ACC rivalml

But I agree it makes the H/A a non-issue.

There is NO format that would make an "opt in" work. I calculated it months ago & those WITH the c/d game rotated H/A ONCE of the other division in 12 years while the "opt-out" group did, I think, 3 full H/A rotations in 15 years. & you think what we have now is bad & criticized by other conferences???

For the first question. Yes. Group of five teams don’t play strong schedules. So they need to prove themselves.

For the rest of what you wrote.....
????

Go back and edit this until 35% of us can understand what you are saying.

It would look like this.
Sec. Georgia
Vs
Ucf/northern ill winner

Big10 Michigan
Vs
Pac 10 usc

Big12 okla
Vs
Big east WVU

Acc. Clemson
Vs
Usf/Boise winner

I don’t like conference non champs unless we eliminte conf champ games.

Georgia you don’t want none of this. The east would get housed currently. I know it’s cyclical. It right now the west is king

I was saying suppose Conf. B's team with 3 loses BEAT Conf. A's team who was undefeated in the victory round of 1 of the 4-team playoff tournaments you mentioned. You would still give Conf. B's team the CFPlayoffs slot?

& I agree that I was under the impression the CFPlayoffs were ONLY for conf. champs. But was puzzled with 5 P5 conf. & only 4 slots.

Happens in ncaa tourneys all the time.

If we want to reward the regular season only, we can go back to the 60s.

Disbanding divisions would be the dumbest thing we can possibly do, especially if we are going to expand and add more teams.

It would be an unwieldy mob of teams, and scheduling would be ridiculous with everyone only able to play a portion of the teams.

We need some type of organization like the divisions provide so we're not using a bunch of complex rules to determine which of the four 10-2 teams plays Bama in the championship game each year.
