how was Alabama not involved in playing a former professional basketball player for 5 games?

by the same rhetoric that the SEC has pivoted to, the alabama AD and president should have stepped in and reprimanded the coach for allowing such an affront to the integrity of amateur athletics

Bediako just ran onto the court, Alabama didn't actually allow him to play.

These retards are incapable of understanding how when Lane Kiffin recruited people to sue the NCAA that he personally fricked up. LSU is not done paying for his frick up either. It won't matter how many whataboutisms you throw at the wall, none of them will stick. LSU will be hit with LoIC.

The melt will be one for the record books.

Former Alabama standout Charles Bediako, who entered the 2023 NBA draft and signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs that year, has been granted a temporary restraining order to return to the Crimson Tide and college basketball immediately, a judge ruled Wednesday.

...

The judge's monumental ruling came hours after NCAA president Charlie Baker reiterated that Bediako and other players who've signed NBA contracts would not be granted eligibility to play college basketball.

I know the differences and can discuss both in a vacuum without comparing. Chambliss got a TRO to protect him from NCAA and SEC rules. He is in active violation of those eligibility rules. I've seen several Ole Miss fans on here accept the fact that at a later date the NCAA might vacate wins.

LSU nor any of its players violated any rules, but I know what made us a target.

Or, your attention seeking coach pretty much admitted to what LSU was doing in his interviews, then LSU tried to act like nobody could stop them while mocking the system itself while also trying to create new standards for the entire SEC via the court system.

Did Ole Miss do all that?

LSU never acted like they were going to do anything but abide by the rules, lol. Show us where LSU violated any rule and we can take you seriously. That last part of the sentence is probably something you've never experienced. You know, someone taking you seriously.

Once you saw the SEC was gonna do this, you should have stopped

How can LSU stop a lawsuit they aren't involved in?

The SEC’s Professionalism Rules
33. Both the NCAA and the SEC have long maintained rules that prohibit individuals who have entered a professional draft, signed professional contracts, or been rostered on a professional athletics team from competing in college athletics.

I agree, Sidewalk.

I keep hearing everyone saying LSU is in gross violation of a rule that has existed for a couple weeks and yet the SEC maintains the above is a longstanding rule that clearly was violated by Nate Oats and Bediako.

And yet the conference took no action of any consequence other than the toothless affidavit that you mentioned.

quote:

I think the conference will have to decide whether it's going to actually enforce NCAA bylaws by way of their own bylaws, or not.

They seem to be picking and choosing when they do it.

Indeed they do.

To understand his point, you'll have to make several assumptions with him, that aren't actual facts.

The hopium is strong with this one. Keep hanging your hat on that super secret evidence that somehow hasn't leaked yet.

We shall see if the SEC actually produces any evidence that holds up in this regard.

I just want one little piece of proof of this, the Talty article has already proven to have inaccuracies with it, so I don't personally find it 100% believable.

Kiffin's quotes do not actually prove wrongdoing, regardless of what Boom33 insists.

WHERES THE PROOF?

Again, stop bringing up the Alabama situation. Alabama wasn't involved in that.

It takes quite a bit of mental gymnastics to insist Alabama wasn't involved in a case with only Charles Bediako listed as a plaintiff, in Tuscaloosa

But

LSU was definitely involved in a case containing over 30 athletes, and multiple non-football players, in Baton Rouge

He was a former Alabama player.
