We played State last year and yall played Alabama. The conference could have (and should have) flipped that so both rivalries stayed in tact.

This has been an odd schedule for these two years, but I do kinda like seeing teams we haven't seen in forever. LSU hadn't been to Columbia since 2008, until last year.

Granted, there was a flood that required relocation, but point still stands.

Should have been done a long time ago, 8 worked well with 12 teams. However with 14 and now 16 teams, you don't get enough coverage and scheduling can be extremely lopsided.

Plus, most SEC teams play 3 garbage completely non-games every year. 1-2 of those is enough.

Kinda sucks for schools like UF and UGA who actually play good OOC.

Ask Vandy and UK who their biggest rival is and they will say the vols. Idk what you want me to say. That’s just the history of it. Vandy is our in state game and UK and Tennessee have played over 120 times.

Vols say it's Bama/UF/UGA.

Any Tennessee fan who says that UGA is a bigger rival than Vandy or UK is either lying or 5 years old. That’s a huge game for both fanbases given the size and history of the programs but neither team should list the other in its top 3. Florida game only became a thing after 1990.

I’m not clicking your random link and as a life long Tennessean and 3 generation UT grad. Real Tennessee fans know who the rivals are. Listen to any talk show in Tennessee or any real fan. Not to some link that no doubt takes you to your gay porn site

I think 9 games will occur when more teams are added.

Then the discussion will be "is 9 or 10 is best?".

Also, the P/O format will change when more teams are added.

Why not Vandy...it's an in-state rival.

It takes 2 to make a rival. Playing every year for so long should never stop Tenn from getting Georgia going forward. Kentucky lost 30 in a row at least in your so-called rivalry, and the other is Vandy. Our oldest rival is Miss State, where are they on our schedule?

Let me help you, BAMA, Georgia, and Florida.

Then GO TO divisions or pods.

This whole "lack of common opponents needing new tiebreakers" is BS!
