He should have said:

"The SEC has a justified arrogant sense of entitlement"

And btw, your logic is all kinds of terrible. This is middle school logic stuff. If you flip a coin 49 times and it's heads every time, you realize it's still a 50/50 shot at heads/tails on the 50th turn right?
What happened in 06 or 09 or 11 or 12 or any other year has absolutely no effect on the present year.
-------------------------------------------------
You serious, Clark?
We're not dealing with something that's inherently equal such as a coin toss. It's naive to think such a thing. Why do you think they put a line on a sporting event? Do you think that it's just good fortune that the SEC has won the BCS for the last nearly decade?

Uh yeah we are. It's a 60 minute game that is undecided by ANYTHING else in the past, all that matters is those 22 people on the field at that time.

for people to bet on? Not sure what you're asking...if you're asking "how do you think they set the line", I think they use past indicators to set what they think the outcome will be. However, what does UF playing Oklahoma in 06 have to do with an auburn playing FSU this year? Nothing. That's the argument..that the SEC has somehow proven itself and based on past stats that it will do this or won't do that. It's 2013, not 2012 or 2010 or 2005 or 2000 or 1990. Nothing that happened in past seasons will have any bearing whatsoever in the slightest bit on 2 teams playing each other in 2013.

Strength of conference, whether you want to believe it or not, has a bearing on what voters use to determine rankings. The strength of each conference, historically over years past, has everything to do in deciding which teams have accomplished enough to make it to the title game.
When voters in polls have to make decisions on 2 teams that are close in those rankings, I think they do in fact factor in similar circumstances that have occurred in recent history. If that's done, the SEC clearly rises to the top as the best conference in college football. So I believe what has happened in the past could in fact have a bearing on who makes it to the BCS. And if you don't think mental advantages come into play, such as coaches preaching mental edges about "being there before", I don't know what to say. If nothing else, it's a mental edge that's used by coaches to fire up the kids.

2 loss sec teams are 1-0 in the NC game.

But those games ARE decided by which team is better MOST of the time.
8-0 all time in BCS NCG's is statistically significant. It's absurd to compare it to a series of coin flips.

The family next door had 8 male children and your family had 8 kids also, you being one of them. Now there's bad blood between the 2 families and your other 7 siblings fought and had been curb stomped by 7 of the 8 different neighbor kids. What do you think your chances would be of avenging your brothers by fighting the remaining neighbor kid? I'd say that they couldn't melt and pour you on that kid!....hell, I wouldn't fight him either.

And curb stomped is appropriate. Double digit wins the majority of the time.

Meh, coin flip decides the remaining fight.

I think what Desmond meant to say is that the SEC has four Of the top eight teams in the BCS standings, While the big ten only has three teams in the top 25.
And The SEC has seven teams total in the top 25.

Desmond´s been playing with the dictionary again, I see.

If everything was equal then we'd see close games every single season. With the exception of the Auburn-Oregon game in 2010, every single BCS title since 2006 has been decided by 10 points or more.
Florida - 41
Ohio State - 14
LSU - 38
Ohio State - 24
Florida - 24
Oklahoma - 14
Alabama - 37
Texas - 21
Auburn - 22
Oregon - 19
Alabama - 21
LSU - 0
Alabama - 42
Notre Dame - 14
The vast majority of these games have been blow outs. There's a reason for this. The SEC currently brings in more talent than any other conference - and it's not even close. Just take a look at the Rivals 250. More than half of the nation's Top 250 players who have committed have committed to SEC schools.

The idea that someone that played in the big 10 saying anybody is arrogant concerning football is absolutely laughable. No longer do you get the benefit of the doubt because the big10 is a poor football conf. And that is being nice about it. No longer do you come south and poach the best players. OSU ain't played what, 2 ranked all year. That is why everyone talked at the beginning of the year why Louisville wouldn't make the ship. Because of the schedule. Unfortunately, you could make the a little of the same argument on the schedule for Fsu also. At least Fsu has looked dominant all year.

People take pride in playing in the nation's best conference. Desmond literally just figured that out?
