Lol. You guys are something else. All you Texas and OU fans act like the only reason the SEC has had success is because Texas and OU has been stuck in the Big 12. That is an absurd attitude. Nobody is saying Texas and OU can compete in the SEC. What we have been trying to tell y’all is that it’s not gonna be easy in the SEC as what y’all think. The SEC is different. There is no off weeks here. If you do not respect the team you are playing that week then you will get your head handed to you. The SEC is a grind and it’s all about survive and advance. You have to respect the process of winning and practice every week the same way no matter if it’s Bama or Vandy that week.

The point SEC fans are trying to make here is that the SEC schedule will be more difficult across the board than what you're used to in the Big 12

South fricking Alabama blew out a team who played for the Big12 championship

Texas and OU think that because Saban is getting toward the end of his career (God I hope so), Alabama will become a middle tier team and they will replace.

There does seem to be a trend of 60,000+ to be in the top 10 loudest.
I'm not saying the SEC doesn't have tough places to play, I am simply trying to say that decibel level relates more to fan interaction rather than bodies filling seats.

While yes you need bodies to make noise, I have been to plenty of games where the fans hardly interact besides the students. That is why you traditionally see the student section sat by the opponents sideline, they are typically the most rowdy fans.

On the previous page you admitted they’ve been held to their mediocre histories. Which is it clown?

Tell me how many NCs Texas has won in the last 50 years?

Auburn and Tennessee have won that many and Florida, LSU, Georgia, Alabama have won more.
...OK? And what does this have to do with the ever-so-fearsome "SEC GRIND"?

We know Texas is adding elite teams to their schedule with Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Florida. Fact is: nobody plays all four of those teams in one year. So the remainder of the league really isn't that different from other power conference schedules top to bottom. Hence why Texas isn't walking into some insane gauntlet they haven't already faced like some of you delude yourselves into believing.

To the OP:
- two best teams this year were Bama and UGA. Both escaped the Plains in Auburn with a win - barely - in 4th qtr

…and that’s not a crazy talented team at Auburn now. Road games in SEC are especially tough - even against the 2nd tier teams like Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss.

You will see.

No that's what the rest of the SEC teams think. They post their Saban retirement hope-porn on here every week, slappy.

I expect no dropoff.

Well Alabama is capable of hiring a winning coach when Saban leaves. Alabama has a long history of winning even before Saban got there.

By being the superior academic and athletic institution in the state?

I guess we could pay $76 million to fire a coach and lose to app state. That would really show the pride of Texas, am I right?

lol that’s cute. I think beating Bama early in the season has gone you your collective heads.
Actually we're just basing that off of empirical data and facts...

You really shouldn’t go there with the last 20 years to look at.

A team that lost to New Mexico State by multiple touchdowns.

Believe it or not, but other college football teams that play tough exist in other conferences...

You just successfully described how college football works. Congratulations!

It's not just an SEC thing that any team can win. It's college football. Big upsets happen all the time.

Nobody is saying the SEC will be easy, but it is like every other conference where you have top tier teams and lower tier teams.

And i thought Texas fans were supposed to be the pretentious ones

Well you will find thar the sec fans are rowdy and energetic when it comes to supporting their football teams.

You'll never go into places where the team is still .500 and find an empty stadium that's quiet.

When Texas visits a 4-4 middle of the pack SEC you will find a full stadium of loud fans. Over 60k of them everywhere but vandy.

Enjoy it. It's a beautiful thing.

A national title, another title game appearance, in the playoffs this year, multiple conference titles and zero losses to non Power 5 teams?

A&M doesn't qualify for a single one of those in the last 20 years
