If “the SEC was cheating”, then how does the B1G explain the last 2 season in fb?

Or do those not count?

NIL. Everyone can pay players out in the open. That explains the last two years. The playing field has been leveled.

The SEC's bowl record speaks for itself.

A pretty dumb measure of this. The SEC has had some bad bowl records while dominating at the top:

2009: 5-6
2015: 5-6
2016: 7-7
2017: 5-6
2018: 6-6

In the Big 10...Iowa is a horrible team....in your soft arse conference...they would be a great team...is that so hard to understand?

No, they aren't. You're retarded.
I'm not saying they're a power. But a head coach doesn't get to stick around for 40 years if he produces "horrible teams."

STFU.

sure they are, dumbass. They lost to Indiana, Oregon, USC, and Iowa State and only beat Michigan state by 3.

Kirk Ferentz has been their coach for 40 years. If they were "horrible" as you suggest, he wouldn't be their coach.

That's a fact. You are juat here to troll.

Enjoy.

Horrible argument, dumbass. Are you saying coaches that are in their job for a long time never have bad years?

No dipshit. I'm saying that coaches don't to get to coach 40 years if they produce "horrible" teams with consistency.

Bowl games are probably the worst measure of Conf A vs Conf B. Particularly during this era of opt outs, portal entries, etc. The teams that actually end up on the field are not the same teams from the season.

Using Texas as an example, they were missing 9 starters and 3-4 others from the two-deep. Most bowl teams were dealing with something similar.

What would be a better measure is an “SEC vs Big 10” in Week 3, where 16 teams from each go head to head. I’d really like the SEC’s chances in something like that.

I never said the SEC was so strong top to bottom even in years when they won. In general, the SEC has been very strong at the top but without much depth. Look at how often the bottom half beats someone from the top half of the SEC. Very rare for many years giving top SEC teams a lot of easier in-conference match ups.

So what measure do you think shows the SEC is as strong and dominant as SEC fans say it is? If it's not the bowl record, is it the playoff record? Is it what happened between Alabama and Indiana?

SEC fans cant answer the big question....why havent any SEC teams beat a Big 10 team in the past 3 years in the playoffs if the SEC is still strong? Some of the SEC fans on here are admitting the SEC is soft now....but the majority wont admit it.

and I give credit to LSU fans....they are the majority that admits the SEC is soft now. Its Bama and Georgia fans that think the SEC is still a beast conference.....but they want that to be true so they are ranked high every year.
