The SEC has one down year and you come on here saying it’s overrated. Take bama away and the SEC is still head and shoulders above any other conference the past couple decades and it’s not even close. I agree that it’s dumb to root for other SEC schools but you’re a fricking idiot.

The SEC circle jerk was cool in the late 2000s when the SEC was dominating after being disrespected for so long. Now I would much rather a non-SEC team win a title than an SEC team. Conference pride is lame

Rule #1: Only the 4 CFP teams will play in tact in bowl games. All the rest could easily be missing 3-9 starters and field teams that only vaguely resemble what they were during the regular season.

Rule #2. Do NOT bet on non-CFP bowls.

Rule #3: Conference records mean little in the non-CFP bowls.

Bowl season doesn't prove anything anymore. With all the opt-outs and transfers that happen between Thanksgiving and bowl season, very few teams go into a bowl looking anything like the team they were in the regular season. Winning a bowl these days has more to do with which team had fewer opt-outs than it does which team was actually better during the season.

To expand on your thought, it’s conceivable that the SEC may fare worse in bowl games going forward because of the talent advantage. Players that opt out theoretically are talented enough that they think they have a shot in the NFL. Team/conferences with less opt outs=less talent.

Amen. I’m not a big sec sec sec-er but I don’t appreciate the tone of the OP. He can suck it.

Love your school, whatever it is. But “SEC! SEC! SEC!” is bull shite.

I hate it when people try to impose their views like they’re better and then wear it like a badge of honor. Honestly, we don’t really care what you think.

Name a better league.

There may or may not be a better league but that doesn’t mean the sec is a strong league. I see trash football all over the country including in the sec. I don’t believe much separates the sec and big10 at all. I would love to see sec teams travel up north during November and December...not saying they would all lose but it’d be a nice to see the matchups.

I expect you’ll be gone from here soon never to return; at least with your current avatar.
PS, you won’t be missed.

Yes.

50% of them are great. The other half are letdowns that do not tell any kind of story about which team/conference is better.

1. Big10

Best teams in the B1g:
Michigan
Ohio State
Michigan State

I would argue that:
Alabama
Georgia
Ole Miss \would beat those three.

We'll have a better idea soon, as my #2 team from the SEC plays the #1 team from the B1G, won't we?

No. Just no. I asked an honest question for an honest conversation and now you want to troll.

Honestly? I like the SEC and can defend it as the best conference top to bottom. However, I also will pull for some SEC teams in bowl games and against others in their bowl games. I tend to lean SEC in most games, though....especially during bowl season.

Tbh these top players are spoiled. That’s the problem. More interested in lazy rivers, light shows, and getting money.

Notice how all three have nothing to do with reality, only aspirations

Hell even the Big Ten is a lie considering you have 14 teams...

The SEC is overrated. Period.

From recruiting rankings, to OOC winning percentage, to national championships, to NFL draft picks, to NFL pro bowls, to NFL all pro teams the facts completely contradict your statement. You are overreacting to a few bowl games and ignoring overwhelming counterweight facts.
