I’ll have to try to visit the campus sometime if I can figure out a reason for a presentation by a VA doctor.

It really hasn’t changed. The Coast Guard has a sign out front but it looks like a big political campaign attached to a wood frame. I don’t know how long they have had the property so they may have plans to fix it up better in the future. The brick looking wall with B’ham Southern College written on it that you can see from the road is still there. So at least that part of it hasn’t changed much.

Too bad they can’t do something like hold one last Iron Bowl there in honor of its 100th Anniversary.

That'd never happen, but it would be really cool for Bama to have their '27 spring game there for the 100th anniversary. Bet they could make a little NIL money charging a little for the special event.

My first in person Bama game was at Legion Field in 1993.

I unfortunately attended the 1995 Peyton Manning Tennessee game...Gameday was there...and it was 14-0 before I got to my seat. Poor college kid needed a refund.

lol. I wasn’t there for the Manning game but I was for the game 1,2,3 years earlier when they Bama and Tennessee tied. That may be the only ballgame I have ever attended in person that ended in a tie. 17-17 final score. Bama scored with about 20 something seconds left in the game and then got a 2pt conversion.

Last year, I managed to check out the exterior of Legion Field, Mississippi Vets, and the Cramton Bowl. I talked my way into Ladd-Peebles.

I wish I could have seen a game in any of them. I suppose I still good, but that’s quite a trip for me during a busy time of year. Those old venues are my kind of place. Some lady actually did keep an eye on my truck while is roamed around the outside of Legion. They had a car show going on, so I felt safe. It was also during the day. I didn’t feel unsafe, but wouldn’t necessarily want to be there at night after a game.
