Meh, I'd say they're about even right now. They're both on equal footing for me.

It is all subjective take every winning coach in college football and toss them in a hat. Each one wold likely have the same results at each school. What people are essentially arguing about is the demeanor of their coach. Each team takes on their coaches characteristics. People tha think 18-22 yr olds are knuckleheads will prfer a coach in the Sabana mold those that like a laid back attitude willl prefer Miles.

While Les has done a nice job at LSU, albeit a lot of times being luckier than a dog with 3 dicks, I think most people would take Saban.

I agree with the jilted lover comparison. Let it go and be happy with your coach.

That being said, I do wish that Lane Kiffin would take a dip in the Pacific and be consumed by a great white shark.

Miles has a quality record, no doubt.

But I don't think anyone can mount a credible argument for him being better than Saban.

I'm not a Miles fan at all -- respect him for getting his players to give 110% every week, though. Wouldn't want him picking up trash at my stadium if it was his only affiliation with my program, though.

let it ride for about 10 or so years.

both are good. and both are really perfect fits for their respective schools'/teams' traditional personalities.

Both are sucessful and both have pretty much maximized the job that could possibly be available to them. Where else could they go?

LSU and BAMA will match or exceed any money offers, and as far as the NFL, Saban had been there and done that. I think a bunch of sucessful college coaches have learned from the NFL experiences of Spurrier and Saban. Miles, Saban and Spurrier will probably retire form their present jobs and all be Hall of Famers.

The Saban vs. Miles debate continues over on the Tiger Rant

shite like this going on over there is why most people here don't read or post on the Rant.

If LSU fans that post here think this is a stupid topic, what do you think non-LSU fans will think of it?

Saban has had significantly more success and has now rebuilt two programs. There's no debate among anyone other than LSU homers.

eta: And the people on the rant pointing out Saban's 3 and 4 loss seasons while ignoring Miles' 5 loss season are hopeless

I'm not sure he rebuilt Alabama at all. He's a great recruiter.. but does a historically great program need to be rebuilt? It recruits itself.

Alabama finally got out from under the foot of the NCAA, and they got better.

I see a Woody/Bo thing here

it'll be around forever

love Saban appreciate what he did here

but frankly, Miles fits LSU and Louisiana and our crazy, ice cream hating on 12 year old girls, nutso fanbase better than Nick. So I'll keep Les
