the internet gives so much trash the balls to say things they would never say to any of us in real life

If you full heartedly mean this statement, then you're a fricking moron.
I told you guys in my 1st post in this thread that I don't think Texans are used to encountering another group who hold as much pride in their state as Texans do, but I promise you that SCers come closer than any of the other 48. We take stuff like that seriously, we take our history seriously and we sure as hell don't like it when outsiders come in and do what they want without even considering what it might mean.
Don't get me wrong, I know the yell practice isn't meant to be disrespectful and the Aggie fan base isn't trying to degrade our landmarks but whether you agree with or not some SCers will be offended by it.

State history, not football history. Try and pay attention if you're going to contribute.

That's because your state is full of small minded, Bible thumping rednecks. Except for Charleston. I like Charleston.

Lives in NC, not surprised by this statement. NC is like a statewide version of the Longhorn fan base.

We're Texans. We do what we want.

As a football program? Totally.
As a state? Lol, no...

Not when it comes to state history ... you know, original thirteen colonies and all. The red and white stripes on the U.S. flag.
They did teach you U.S. history at your primary school, did they not?

Oh I don't agree with anyone bringing that up as a way to talk smack to a school. I'm just referring to the apparent lack of understanding of why some SCers would be offended by the practice location.
I figured Texans, of all people, would understand taking pride in a state and resisting outsiders coming and doing what they please.

This is the problem the teasips have. Y'all AREN'T the state. You don't represent anything other than some shitty school in Colombia, SC. We are the Texas Aggies and we'll practice yells wherever we want to practice yells. And you won't say a damn thing.

I'm not sure I'd be offended, but I sure as hell wouldn't like it. I'm completely fine if y'all are pissed off at where Yell Practice is, probably the point of us holding it there.
But bringing up bonfire tends to take things to an entirely new level.

Ok so we aren't the state, but we are South Carolinians and that is our state house, regardless of our school affiliation.

And I don't blame the Aggies for jumping on it. I'd be pissed too. I know how much it means, school tour stops by the memorial and I walked through it the 1st day I got here.

Your statehouse has nothing to do with anything Gamecock-related. You shouldn't care if we're peacefully assembling on government property.

And the midnight yell is being hosted by the south carolina chapter of former students. They will all be south carolina residents as well.

Ok then, like I said we'll just say it's state pride, not school pride. Does that help you wrap your head around our justification?

Residents = / = natives. How do Texans not understand our point of view?

No, because
A) Texans don't care for government. That's why ours doesn't meet except once every 4 years or something.
B) We aren't holding an anti-SouthCarolina Convention. It is a Texas Aggie Midnight Yell Practice. It has nothing to do with you or your state.
Y'all are making this a fight and I promise you that isn't what you want.

Making lite of the post I made earlier asking if Columbia is a dangerous place..
Go see how dangerous the steps of your capitol building are around midnight before the game while trying to compare a public pep rally to making jokes about college kids dying.
Of course pieces of shite like you don't say disgusting stuff like that to actual people in front of you. But I sure wish you would.. just once and see what happens.
